I selected the subject, then selected inverse. I brushed the background white. I created a new layer and a layer mask of the subject and then flipped the subject horizontally. I then doubled the canvas of my original in the horizontal direction and merged the 2 images. I then created a new layer and layer mask of that image and flipped it vertically. I doubled the canvas of the layer with 2 flamingos vertically and merged it with the previous layer. I then enlarged the canvas 4 times choosing the different background colors.
