Description:
The Birdwatcher's House is set amidst the Mindo Forest Reserve in Ecuador at an altitude of 2100 m. It offers breathtaking views and incredible biodiversity, including 36 species of hummingbirds. The image is of one of the iconic toucans of the Andean cloud forest in northwestern Ecuador. The plumage of the Plate-billed Mountain-Toucan is colorful with blue underparts, coppery back, black crown and nape, red undertail coverts, yellow crescent below eye, and yellow "plate" on bill.
