Subject:
Eyelash Viper
Location:
Costa Rica
Description:
On a recent photographic trip to Costa Rica we photographed a lovely Eyelash Viper. It was a rescued viper that was placed on the flower for our benefit. The snake was released back into the wild once photographed. The viper is native to Costa Rica and most distinguishing feature is the scales above the eyes that look like eyelashes. This yellow snake is one of many colors that it comes in to include pink.
