Adult Margined Calligrapher Flies (Toxomerus marginatus) help pollinate a variety of flowers. This one is on a bindweed flower in our backyard garden. Most gardeners would prefer not to have bindweed in their gardens. However, they would also prefer not to have aphids – one of the favorite foods of margined calligrapher larvae.
