This image is a composite of the foreground shot in the evening and the Milky Way shot the following night when the sky was clear. Out in the Bisti Wilderness on a workshop with 319 Photography, I found this collection of boulders which, in my mind, resembled a snake. Envisioning the Milky Way behind it, I was disappointed when the sky did not cooperate that night, but learning the art of compositing made the image a reality.
