Lake Clark National Park, AK

Two bears were on the mudflats of the Cook Inlet. One was searching for buried clams, the other wanted to play. Playful bear constantly annoyed hungry bear until hungry bear could tolerate no further antics. Hungry bear gave a few warnings which playful bear did not heed and suddenly the two were barreling straight for our tight circle of photographers. I could feel the wind as they passed by, the mud spraying our clothes and cameras. Hungry bear had had enough!
