Brooks Falls, AK

We watched bears of all ages fish and play in the river of Brooks Falls. The younger bears were confined to the lower falls where fishing wasn't so easy. This young bear with sad eyes was quite pitiful as he missed his catch over and over again. Thinking he would never catch his lunch while I watched, he finally grasped this fish, struggling to maintain his slippery hold. His eyes seem to be saying, "pretty please - let me keep this one". "I'm so hungry".
