Help with Epson Scanner

Anyone have an Epson V850 flatbed scanner or similar? My machine crops 35mm slides and refuses to scan the entire image no matter what I do. Have read thru all the manuals and watched YouTube ad nauseum, but still no help. Suggestions more than welcome! And thank you. -Steven Grueber
