lightroom update & catalog??

Folks, I can use some help please.
I have downloaded the latest Lightroom Classic and Photoshop updates.
I went to launch LrC and I got a pop-up that my Catalog needs to be updated. After clicking OK, I'm not taken to the import screen.
Something does not seem right.
Appreciate any help.

I have not had time to download the latest updates, but I do receive Matt K’s emails. He has put out some videos about the latest updates which I have not had time to watch. You might check out his YouTube site or his website. He may have some info that might be of benefit. Just a thought. Hope this helps.

I don't think you have a problem. Quite often when LR gets an update they have to update the catalog too. You should not be taken to the import screen. It happens in the background. A version number is added to your catalog name and it appears in the top banner. If you click open recents then your old catalog should be listed.

only about 4k of photos were in the new v11 catalog and the balance of about 135k were MIA and stuck under a new drive "D" that was unavailable as it did not exist. A adobe rep spent about 2 hours yesterday in control of my PC with no luck solving the problem. They scheduled a follow-up call for today and called me right on time. This time a senior support person who took over my PC. After about an hour and a half my catalog was fixed and updated to V11 properly. I must say I was impressed with Adobe's accessibility and efforts to resolve this relatively quickly. Excellent support!
