Website Creation Info

If you've built your own website or built ones for others, I'm looking for recommendations of a good On Line company that utilizes templates and easy drag/drop processes for IMAGES / TEXT / LINKS / to create a new website from scratch. It's time I build my own as opposed to relying on someone else. If the same on line company also offers hosting, even better. I plan to use the same basic layout of my current site. Feel free to have a look to get an idea of what I want to post on my own - (yes, I did create the original layout as it appears but the guy who has been managing it is winding down so no worries about copyright infringement).

Any helpful info is appreciated regarding:
What on line site/sites do you recommend?
What hosting website do you recommend?
Are there companies that offer both of the above so I can streamline the process?
Is the company's software to create a website from scratch intuitive in its ease of use?
Does it utilize drag/drop and copy/paste processes?

Thanks for any info - feel free to send me a personal email so we don't jam up everyone's InBox with responses - much appreciated rburden@ecentral.com

Thanks for your time and assistance!

Russ,

I've been happy with https://livebooks.com/. You can check out my website: http://DenverPhotography.com, but there is a lot of flexibility as to how you it set up. It is very easy for me to make changes, add photos etc. When I have needed it I've been happy with their support team as well.

Russ, I have been using Zenfolio, its easy, you can sell through the site or do your own fulfillment, set your own pricing. When you download images it gives you the option to store raw images alongside the image for the website. Lots of customizable templates. I saw today they are running a 50% off special. Somewhat pricey but no limit on the number of images, they do have a size limit on raw images before they charge an additional fee.

Russ,

Several photographers on youtube have been recommending SQUARESPACE. I don't know anything about it myself. But supposedly it's flexible and easy to construct.

Mike - thanks. I looked at your site - definitely like the layout and all the options about which I spoke are covered in what you did. I will look into it.

All - so far Squarespace is getting the most votes. I will look into all options. Thanks for all the great responses. It's why I love Mile High! (thanks Fred)

Bob - I use SmugMug for my portfolio and I love it - Zenfolio sounds similar. I'm looking more for an actual website construction site as opposed to just posting pics but I will check Zenfolio out based on your recommendation
