Winter in Yellowstone
Barbara Fleming
Subject:
Grey wolf
Location:
Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming
Description:
I spent six hours on a very cold winter’s day with a pack of grey wolves who were feeding on a recent kill. The snow was heavy and at times blowing sideways, making for a difficult shoot. The grey wolf was reintroduced to Yellowstone in 1995 and now has a population of 104 wolves. Ig is one of a few protected havens for wolves in the US.
